Teaching Modern Studies or PSHE?
This clip could be used to introduce a research project into how the English court system works. Pupils could research the different roles individuals play in the court system and track the progress of a trial, from an initial charge in a police station to the delivery of a judge's verdict. The clip could also act as a stimulus to create a mock trial in the classroom, complete with lawyers, jurors and defendants.
This clip will be relevant for teaching PSHE and Modern Studies classes in secondary schools about law and justice in the UK.
