17-yr-old Autistic Animator, Dani Bowman, was honored with a Golden Goody Award (our top humanitarian award) during a special Goody Awards Ceremony on Friday, April 20, 2012 as part of a Goody Awards Autism Acceptance Month Campaign. In this video, Lauren Dair Owens, who plays Zooey Deschanel on New Girl on Fox, presents the award, and then Dani gives her acceptance speech in front of a crowd of about 100 people at Deutsch LA. During this event, Dana Commandatore, Rethinking Autism Co-Founder and Deutsch executive, also premiered the new PSA: Believe It: The Dani Bowman Story that Dani illustrated. Many thanks to Deutsch Advertising LA for sponsoring this event and filming this video.
