Acting is one of the most cut throat industries. Everyone wants to be one. Everyone wants to think that they are good at it. Everyone wants all the money, fame, and prestige that comes with being an A-lister in Hollywood. But the truth is, it’s an incredibly hard industry, and most of those who pursue it never make their living off of it. We’d even go so far as to say that those that can make their entire living off of it are a lucky few… but sometimes, success is not enough. Greed takes over, and an actor can become a criminal. Such was the case for Hollywood actor Zach Avery, who had found success in the indie movie scene, with films like "Trespassers" and "The White Crow," while also breaking into mainstream films by starring in “Fury”, all the while secretly running a multi million dollar Ponzi scheme. In total, this man had stolen over 690 million dollars from unsuspecting investors. He was a thief and a liar, and was using other people’s money to fuel his lavish lifestyle. Until he was finally arrested, and brought to justice. The saddest part of the story though? The innocents that trusted Zach Avery with their money, well, that money's all gone now. There’s no reimbursement in this tale. So.
