The point of lagging indicators is to give you a broad non-noisy overview of what happens in the past to give you an idea of what can happen in the future. You are basically trying to eliminate this theory that the past has no inference for the future...So what's the point of lagging indicators? Lagging indicators like moving averages can be used as a filter! Don't use lagging indicators as triggers but as filters!
