British MPs rose to their feet to applaud Ukraine's ambassador to the UK at the start of Prime Minister's Questions on the 2nd March.
MPs had gathered for the regular weekly session, to ask the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, about the UK's response to Russia's unprovoked war in Ukraine.
Following the extended standing ovation Speaker of the House, Lindsay Hoyle, explained that applause is not normally allowed in the chamber - but under the circumstances he had made an exception to demonstrate the strength of support across the house for the Ukrainian people.
