An exercise in proving to myself that I could create a cohesive body of musical work approximating an Album. I started at 16 and took 2 years writing music and (bad) lyrics. Then it took another 2 years to finally find the time to record it and put it all together. Most parts are rough as hell due to limited recording opportunities - lack of reliable access to certain instruments, and complaintive roommates. It got about 2/3 of the way to how it was sounding in my head - from crunchy grunge and Spectoresque walls of sound to sparse folk and cannabis-inspired ambient noise.
The narrators of these songs are not anyone I can relate to any more, but they are an interesting look backward on my past. This Album is an exorcism of various peeves, a fair amount of self indulgence, and the hopeful death of the part of me that's allergic to sincerity. Hope the audio quality and clipped vocals don't perforate your eardrums. - L.K.
