In this video, we explore the border dispute between Suriname and French Guiana. The Lawa Headwaters dispute originates from the Maroni River, which is Europe’s weakest border. This might seem as a surprise, considering French Guiana and Suriname lie in South America. However, French Guiana is part of the France, and therefore, the European Union.

Back in the 20th-century, both countries did not determine the headwater of the Maroni, which originated the whole dispute.
