Discover the RAPID Appliance Workflow for creating dental prosthetics. The process begins with taking full-face photos of the patient smiling and making an exaggerated smile. The doctor may choose to send either the patient's RAPID Appliance or their worn-in provisional prosthesis to ROE Dental Laboratory.
If sending the RAPID Appliance, the doctor will first apply bonding agent or tray adhesive to the appliance. They will then seat and equilibrate the appliance before capturing a wash impression using PVS between the intaglio of the appliance and the tissue. An IOS scan of the tissue is also accepted. Opposing and bite impressions are also taken.
Alternatively, if sending the patient's provisional prosthesis, the doctor can perform a wash impression on the surgical prosthesis and send the patient home with the RAPID Appliance. This provides the lab with a worn-in and accepted bite.
The appliance and PVS impressions are then shipped to ROE Dental Laboratory. ROE will fabricate or provide in-office printing files for the Printed Try-In, a 3D-printed prototype of the final prosthesis.
By following this workflow, dental professionals can efficiently create well-fitting prosthetics that meet their patients' needs.
