This is a play-through of Agito's story mode using Queen Jaguar Lord in the PS1 game Kamen Rider Agito. Read on below for more information...
Usually in Agito's story mode, you should only be playing as the character Agito. However by using alternate methods, I've changed the character into the final boss Queen Jaguar Lord. The results are quite interesting, as it causes some graphical flaws and slowdown. Here is the information about the event:
===== About the Agito story mode change =====
---- By forcing the character to be Queen Jaguar in this mode, it basically means that her character model is replacing Agito's character model for the cut-scenes, gameplay-scenes, super move scenes and winning scenes... which causes quite a lot of flaws and lagging slowdowns. The game never locks up though.
---- Some of the lagging slowdowns for certain scenes last a long time, so I've cut the lagging out of the video and went straight to when it resumes normal speed.
---- During a gameplay fight, in the matches where the prompt message requires you to press the [Triangle] button, you cannot progress as Queen Jaguar, as the [Triangle] button just makes her taunt. Therefore wherever this occurs, I've edited the video to go the next stage. (usually with Agito, the [Triangle] button will get him to wield his weapon or change form, which activates progression to the super move [Circle] button.)
---- There are sound voice faults for when she uses her special moves in a gameplay fight on certain stages. Stage 6 is an example.
---- Her oracle staff is messed up on some stages when in a gameplay fight.
---- As you can see in the last match against CPU Queen Jaguar, both Queen Jaguars are the same colour. The game does not have any alternative colour palettes/outfits programmed in, because when in the normal modes, both 1P and 2P cannot use the same character.
---- Despite all these graphical flaws and slowdowns, the game does not freeze at all.
===== Additional Information =====
---- In the 3 main story modes, when you reach the last stage/episode against Queen Jaguar Lord, you get to hear her final boss music theme. It's different to the one used when you fight her in the other modes.
===== About Queen Jaguar Lord =====
Her name is Pantheras Magistra, and she appears to be a powerful main villain in Kamen Rider Agito. Her weapon is the Oracle Staff. In terms of design, she's clearly based on an Egyptian theme.
Gameplay-wise, she is a fast character and has a good mixture of combos and powerful strikes with her staff. Her flip and "bird kick" basics are good enough to surprise and counter opponents. The game's combo mechanics is extremely flexible, which allows you to combine basics with the special move button (in Queen's case her special moves are her staff moves) in any order, meaning it's almost like a semi-custom combo. I'm not an expert at this game, so I imagine she's capable of much better and flashier combos than what I showed in the video.
===== About Kamen Rider Agito =====
As the title suggests, the game is based on the TV show of the same name. Kamen Rider Agito is of course part of the Kamen Rider franchise.
This game is almost the "prequel" to Kamen Rider Ryuki (which I have my channel). The biggest difference between this and KRR is the fact that there is no card deck system, which of course means that there are no super move cut-scenes. In all honestly, I prefer KRA's style of gameplay because it feels more like a proper fighting game, as there is room for actual proper combos and the characters don't "bounce around" when being hit.
The graphics are highly detailed, being very accurate to the actual TV show characters, and runs at 60fps. This is good for the PS1's standards.
Overall, this is a high quality game... it's a shame that this was never released outside of Japan.
