Covid-19 has brought Yemen’s health system to a complete collapse according to the medical charity Doctors Without Borders.
The number of deaths in the country — which was already wracked by civil war — is almost impossible to determine.
Yemen was already facing the world’s worst humanitarian crisis — after years of conflict between its Houthi rebels and the internationally-recognised government.
The rebels are backed by Iran while a coalition led by Saudi Arabia and supported by the United States and the UK backs the government.
