Traditional Thanka Painting is an art form of painting that requires extraordinary skill and patience. The artist will go into a meditative or trancelike state while painting for upwards of 12 hours sometimes. You are considered a Master painter once you have studied and painted for over 7 years. Some of the Master Painting have taken over 12 years to complete. The higher quality paintings will use 24 karat gold to enhance the design. Some of the brushes used, will only be 1 mm in with or like a single hair. Most subject matter painted will be related to The life of Buddha or achieving Nirvana. Namaste🌎👍❤️
