Just six months after the inauguration of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, the temple and surrounding areas are grappling with challenges arising from heavy monsoon rains. Reports of water leakage from the roof of the sanctum sanctorum and waterlogging on the roads leading to the temple have surfaced, raising concerns about the construction and maintenance of the newly built shrine. Ram Temple which is among the most expensive religious projects in India in recent years, with an estimated cost of ₹1,800 crore.
Why was the inauguration ceremony rushed if only 80% of the construction was completed? Wouldn't it have been more prudent to hold the inauguration after the construction was fully finished? This has led to speculation about whether the timing of the inauguration was influenced by the upcoming Lok Sabha elections during that period.
