Chateau d'Yquem makes what is arguably the world's most famous dessert wine. It was the only Sauternes château rated as Premier Cru Supérieur in the official Classification of 1855. Unsurprisingly, it is priced accordingly.

These two vintages are part of a fabulous trio of vintages of this wine, 1988, 1989, 1990 - with 1990 in particular reaching sweetness levels not reached in Sauternes since 1929!
