A Plasser & Theurer 09-3X Tamping Express (aka Stopfexpress) & DTS 62 N Dynamic Track Stabiliser with long reach ballast plow (plough), both owned by "Track Australia" (now Rhomberg Rail Australia) have spent the day working on the standard gauge line at Kilmore East, Victoria. With their workday now over they head back towards Seymour to stable overnight.

The Plasser 09-3X is a heavy duty, high speed, continuous action track tamping machine. The tamping units are mounted on a separate, self-propelled, satellite frame and are capable of tamping three sleepers at a time.

The Plasser & Theurer "DTS 62 Dynamic Track Stabiliser" is designed to apply controlled, accurate stabilising forces into the track structure at continuous speeds of up to 1.5 km/h.

Both of these track machines are available as HO scale kits from Kibri, although some modifications would be required to make them look exactly like these Australian versions.
