Over 20,000 residents in #Yellowknife, northern #Canada, are evacuating due to impending wildfires, marking the country's most severe fire season to date.
This year, both western and eastern provinces have been impacted, with a record 5,738 wildfires consuming 13.7 million hectares.
As of mid-August, over 1000 blazes were still burning. The fires, which began in April, have also tragically claimed the lives of four #firefighters.
