For the past 12 months, Chelsea fans have been ridiculing Steven Gerrard over the way in which he slipped against them last season, a mistake which proved costly to Liverpool’s title hopes.
Chelsea fans have delighted in changing the words of Liverpool fans’ song about Gerrard, essentially making light of how he slipped, and Jose Mourinho gave an interesting take on it at his post-match press conference.
Mourinho made a rather ham-fisted attempt at describing the song as ‘respectful, like the way you treat a dear old enemy’.
