Location: Below Cardinal Tower bonfire in The Forest of Fallen Giants.

13 or more Vitality with Blue Seal and Life Ring works too.
Easiest way to do this very early on is starting as knight and getting Life Ring along with Blue Seal from Blue Way guy sitting below a monument/obelisk in Majula, the hub area. I personally like to use The Cat Ring purchased from a Cat in majula for around 13k souls.
