Thank you to everyone who supported our annual benefit honoring our vice chair, Alan Solow. We sincerely thank Alan for his leadership, guidance, and dedication to our mission of a secure, Jewish, and democratic Israel.
In Alan's remarks, he outlined a coherent vision for how Israel and its supporters must look toward the future.
Israel Policy Forum Board Chair David Sherman and CEO David Halperin presented Alan Solow, their longtime friend, with an award to honor his impact and accomplishments in the Jewish community, as an advisor in the Obama administration, and as vice chair of Israel Policy Forum.
We were honored to receive tributes to Alan from President Obama, Ambassador Susan E. Rice, Ambassador Marc Stanley, Senator Dick Durbin, Representative Kathy Manning, Representative Jan Schakowsky, Former Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker, and more. Representative Lauren Underwood and Israeli Consul General Yinam Cohen attended.
The event also included a conversation with Diane and Guilford Glazer Foundation Senior Director of Policy Research Dr. Shira Efron and Major General (Res.) Noam Tibon, a leading voice of reason in Israel and an activist for change, on his October 7 story of heroism, the Israel-Hamas war, and the state of Israeli politics.
On the sidelines of the benefit, 25 IPF Atid leaders from across North America met with Israel Policy Forum board members and Maj. Gen. (Res.) Tibon. They discussed how to address challenges facing their communities and foster nuanced discourse on the conflict among next-generation leaders.
