Eric Hemeleers, Chief Executive Officer of Eeckman Art & Insurance, visited BRAFA 2018 (27 January - 4 February) where he found his coup de coeur, a 19th century tribal 'chasse mousse' from the D.R. of Congo, on display with Deletailly Gallery. A symbol of power and authority for the chief, the flywhisk was also used to keep flies away.
The Deletaille Gallery specializes in traditional forms of art from ancient African, Indonesian, Pre-Columbian and Oceanic cultures, focusing primarily on high-quality works of art and exceptional textiles.
