In this video I review the Yamaha RX 15 drum machine. This drum machine was first released in 1984 and would be used by hundreds of amateur and professional musicians. It was basically a stripped down version of the Yamaha RX 11 drum machine.
If you enjoy vintage music gear, this video is for you. The RX 15 had MIDI, cassette in and cassette out, and a foot switch port.
I rented the Yamaha RX 15 way back in 1991. I believe that I had it for a weekend. I recall really enjoying it, but even back then it was a very bulky drum machine.
I don't think many people would consider this retro drum machine a classic, but it is definitely a fun machine that could make some great beats.
If you are into vintage drum machines, analogue synthesizers, home studio gear, laser disc, cameras, reel to reel, tape decks, cassettes, compact discs, 8 tracks and all that fun retro analog gear, this is the channel for you. I post new videos every week. Please subscribe to keep on top of all the latest videos.
