In this screencast tutorial I walk you through the installation and set up of Homebridge Out of the Box System or HOOBS (www.hoobs.org). Now the team at HOOBS was kind enough to send me a unit that I could review and I’ve been able to put this little device through it’s paces and will present a multi part screencast series on how to set up and use the device.
HOOBS allows you to add non homekit compatible devices to your HomeKit install which allows for access to more and more devices that can then be managed in one interface through the home app. Homebridge can be installed for free on any Mac or PC you may have but HOOBS simplifies the process as you will see in this series.
