Since our time is limited ( represented by the jar )
we have to be mindful of our choices - what we choose to do with our time
the sand represents all those phone calls, emails and the constant "pings" from your social media apps
the pebbles represent tasks which will have slight, but manageable, consequences if you dont do them
the "Big Rocks" are the most important things in your life which can have serious negative consequences if you don't take care of them

When you choose to fill your time attending to the little things first without realizing that they dont matter then
you leave little time for the things that DO MATTER
Filling time with things that are urgent but not necessarily important leaves you with very little time for the "Big Rocks"
some of the most important things in your life are left out
Give time to the important things first and you will be amazed by what you can accomplish
You have the same amount of time but when you put the big rocks in first you have time for all your most important things
then you can add the urgent things and you might need to rearrange things a bit
and if time permits then you can add the little things as well and you will find that when you
put the big things in first - things have a way of magically working out
