Television chef Lisa Faulkner, 49, has apologised to fans after sparking confusion with one of the couple's recipes this week. The former EastEnders star set the record straight and pointed out to their viewers that their dish didn't intend to be strictly vegan, despite using some vegan products. Trending After fans informed the chef that she used yoghurt and eggs in her recipe, Lisa proceeded to clear up the situation on her Instagram story. On Wednesday evening, Lisa shared a short video with her 262,000 Instagram followers and and explained: "There have been quite a few comments on our recipe because we used vegan mince and then we used yoghurt and eggs. "It wasn’t a vegan recipe," she admitted. "I just like vegan mince and we try and eat less meat and it's one of the things we like to eat." Her cannelloni recipe grasped the attention of concerned fans as many believed her dish was catered for vegans only. One asked the star: "What’s the point in vegan mince if you are using eggs, cheese yoghurt etc? Really doesn’t make sense." Another replied: "Haha... love your face when you say you're not vegan... sorry! I'm also vegan but love vegan food." One person also added: "Why vegan mince!" "Do you use frozen vegan mince?" someone asked. This video comes after Lisa admitted she hardly spoke to her partner, John, when she competed on Celebrity MasterChef in 2010. The Holby City star told Radio Times magazine how after filming had finished with the BBC show, they both had split from their respective partners, which prompted John to ask her out on a date, via a romantic letter. Lisa recalled: "I was surprised. "I knew we’d had a couple of nice times where we met, chatted, had fun and talked a lot," she explained. “So we were friends, and it didn’t come out of the blue." John and Lisa tied the knot in a stunning ceremony at Aynhoe Park last year. The couple now have five children between them. Lisa has an adopted daughter Billie, 14, and John has older children Marcel and Casper from a previous relationship, and two children Jonah, 12, and Lula, ten, who he shares with his ex-wife Jessica Torode.
