In Episode 66 of Virtual Tour, one of our viewers requested a comparison between our Standar Series Martin Guitar 000-28 Sunburst, and our Custom shop 000 size, 28 style w/ Adirondack top. In today's video, Maury will compare these two wonderful instruments.
In 2018, the standard 000-28 was "reimagined" and now has scalloped braces and a 1 3/4" nut. For this video, we're playing a SUNBURST version of the standard series 000-28, but the natural top sounds the same. The burst top does NOT effect the tone.
We commissioned the Martin Guitar custom shop to build us a very similar instrument, with the only changes being Adirondack Spruce top and bracing. Other than these upgrades, both of these Martin models are the same. Which do YOU prefer & why?
