David Mabuza has resigned as Deputy President and member of parliament. The move clears the way for President Cyril Ramaphosa to appoint a new second-in-command.
Mabuza's resignation comes ahead of Ramaphosa's expected Cabinet reshuffle. His resignation from cabinet and government follows after he declined nomination at the ANC conference.
