How to Control Fruit rot or Anthracnose Disease in Chilli Crop Field?
Anthracnose or fruitrot is a very dangerous disease of chilli crop which may cause yield loss up to 50%. Moreover it also decreases the quality of fruit because of rottening and discolouration.
Anthracnose spreads widely after rainy days. High temperature and high humidity favours this fungal disease of chilli crop.
The main source of fruit rot disease of chilli is seed. Anthracnose or fruit rot is a seed borne disease so by treating seed with fungicide before sowing can prevent crop from this fruit disease.
Anthracnose or fruit rot can be treated or controlled by use of chemical foliar sprays such as Nativo which contains Tebuconazole plus trifloxystrobin @ 80 gram per acre.
Anthracnose or fruit rot can also be controlled by Azoxystrobin plus difenaconazole spray @ 300 ml per acre.
Anthracnose or fruit rot can be controlled in chilli crop by spray of Copper oxychloride @ 300 gram per acre in 100 liters of water.
