Stephanie Mundy Self (BBA ’07, BMus '07) is a partner at Farris, Self & Moore LLC, a boutique firm established in 2015 specializing in business management and financial planning services, providing accounting, HR, business management and financial planning services for hit songwriters and producers, major touring acts and national recording artists.
The client roster at FSM includes artists who collectively have cuts on more than 250 million albums sold and over 100 No. 1 songs. A specialist in risk management research and analysis, tour and merchandise settlement audits for domestic and foreign concerts, Self is also versed in payroll and HR management for companies with 125 or more employees.
She is committee chair of Nashville Emerging Leaders, a group she also served as treasurer. Self is a member of the Academy of Country Music, the Country Music Association, the Gospel Music Association and The Recording Academy.
Prior to joining FSM, Self was an account manager at Flood, Bumstead, McCready, and McCarthy Inc., where her clients included high profile recording artists and actors, international touring corporations and newly discovered talent.
During her time in Nashville, Self has been involved in several community activities. She served on the board and was treasurer of the Nashville Film Festival. She also served as member and committee co-chair of the Nashville Women’s Music Business Association, and coordinated staff for the CMT Artist of the Year Awards. She was selected as one of Nashville’s Emerging Leaders and voted as one of Nashville’s Top 30 under 30.
Self earned dual degrees from UGA, including bachelor’s in both risk management and insurance and music performance, and in 2007, she was among the first graduates to earn the new Music Business Certificate. Ever since, her ties to Terry have remained strong. She was founder of Nashville’s UGA Music Business Alumni Association, was the Nashville Regional Network Committee co-chair of Terry’s Young Alumni Board and helped students as part of the Terry College of Business Mentor Program. She has hired five UGA graduates as employees and six UGA students as interns during her time at FSM, and hired several UGA grads for employment while at FBMM. This past year she started a scholarship fund for UGA Music Business Program students.
At UGA, in addition to her business classes, Self was awarded the Hodgson School of Music four-year renewable Voice Scholarship, was a soloist with UGA’s Opera Ensemble, and at her graduation was featured as the commencement National Anthem soloist. She was also selected as an Amazing Student.
Self, a native of Greenville, S.C., and her husband Craig have two children, a daughter, Hagen, and a son, McCall. They live in Nashville.
