Everything Everywhere All at Once won best picture, one of the seven awards it received on Hollywood’s most glamorous night of the year.

Michelle Yeoh, who won best actress for her role in the film, said her triumph was for “all the little boys and girls who look like me watching tonight”.

Brendan Fraser won best actor for The Whale, capping a feel-good comeback story for a star who faded from the screen for years.
