The first day of winter could bring some wet snowflakes to parts of western Washington Monday.
By midday on Monday, it was snowing in areas of Whatcom County with some roadways seeing trace amounts of accumulation. The National Weather Service warned of wintry driving conditions in the afternoon.
Rain will continue for most of the day Monday, but temperatures will begin to drop by the afternoon. Heavier bands of precipitation will combine with the cooldown and create the possibility of wet snowflakes falling in the lowlands. [ Ссылка ]
