The number of Italian Americans who participated in the Civil War as soldiers or naval personnel in the Union or Confederacy is between 5,000 and 10,000. This muster roll are photos of their enlistment, a portrait, or a tombstone. It is but a few of those men who are part of American history.
It is dedicated to the legacy of all the Italian Americans whose memory and recognition of all they contributed to American history must be preserved.
