• Officially, In my case, it was the battery connector what caused the problem.

• That's most likely a fix for the random unresponsiveness of the touch screen in Xiaomi Mi 5 (While physical buttons remain working)
• 𝙸𝚏 𝚒𝚝 𝚍𝚘𝚎𝚜𝚗'𝚝 𝚑𝚎𝚕𝚙:
- 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲 (sometimes twice) is a 100% but temporary fix (Just hold the power for ~5 seconds)
- 𝗔𝗱𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿 to create additional pressure on the connector may also help.
- Gently 𝘀𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 with your hands works for a while.

• What else I've learned:
- It doesn't depend on the temperature
- It does not depend on the software
- Replacing the screen will most likely not help (as the connectors may be damaged also on the motherboard)
