Vancouver has excellent cycling infrastructure, and the protected bike lane network around the downtown core makes it easier to choose active transportation to get around easily. The bike lanes are carefully designed to reduce vehicular impact as much as possible. Many intersections features protected turn signals to allow cyclists right of way through. The video shows starting point at Ontario bikeway, going around the False Creek seawall, up through a pathway by Wynn Parq Vancouver Hotel, down Smithe St, Hornby St, West Hastings, Burarrd St towards the Vancouver Convention Centre. On return, the Dunsmuir, Richards St and Nelson St bike lanes were used, then exit through Cambie St Bridge. Elsewhere, Vancouver has a number of designated bikeways through residential neighborhoods.
