General Sahir Shamshad Mirza has assumed the appointment of Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, the Inter Services Public Relations said.
The ceremony was held on Sunday at Joint Staff Headquarters, Rawalpindi.
Besides large number of serving and retired officers from tri-services, former Chairmen Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee also attended the ceremony.
