Want to see how I accidentally catch the biggest fish in the lake on a persimmon? That's right, I picked up a persimmon off the ground and caught a huge fish! A persimmon is a fruit that grows on trees here in Tennessee. It tastes like an apricot and I suspected it would make a good bait. I was trying for a catfish but ended up catching something else. I caught a huge grass carp between 30 - 40 lbs! I didn't want to take it out of the water so I dont have an exact weight. If you have fruit tree hanging over the water, try fishing below it. You just might catch the biggest fish in the lake!
