Abraham, Sarah and their nephew, Lot, lived in tents and moved around the Land of Canaan.
God blessed them.
Lot grew up. He also had a large flock and lots of people who worked for him.
Each day, Abraham and Lot would need to find water and food for all their animals.

Before long, there was a problem.
The men who worked for Abraham and Lot began to argue.
They both wanted the best grass for their animals.
The land was not big enough to look after all their animals.
Abraham and Lot had to split up and go in different directions.

Abraham told Lot to choose whichever land he wanted.
Abraham would have the other.
Lot looked and saw the plain of the Jordan was lush and green.
He decided to pick the best land for himself.

Abraham and Lot split up.
Abraham lived in tents in the land of Canaan.
Lot moved near the city of Sodom. It was full of wicked people.
God again spoke to Abraham. God told him to look around. Whatever he could see, God would one day give to him.
