State minister for lands Sam Mayanja has ordered the cancellation of 18 land titles on a disputed piece of land in Kikuube district. Among the titles to be cancelled is one from an individual who claims to be a member of the Bunyoro Kitara royal family, whose 424 hectares tract of land covers part of Buhimba sub-county. District leaders have informed Minister Mayanja that land grabbing has increased in the district leaving many residents in fear of displacement.
