Our brain's have an amazing knack for throwing up rigid all-or-nothing frameworks and seemingly great ideas that get us into situations where we're guaranteed to feed it the compulsion it loves the most: self-hatred and berating ourselves. So don't get caught up in that old compulsion. It's not going to take you anywhere useful. If you've done something you didn't want to do, it's amazing you have that awareness. In the next moment, you can choose to give your time and energy to something you actually care about growing.
