The LEGO Technic 8043 Motorized Excavator is the single greatest set of all time, and for many good reasons! First of all, it was the first one to introduce a fully remotely controlled gearbox! Second, it had a ton of advanced mechanims besides the gearbox, such as having two independent motions pass through the center of a single turntable. Third, it digs incredibly well. There are a billion more reasons for why it's the best set of all time, which are all explained in the review! Even if you don't own or plan to buy this legendary technic set, I urge you to build the gearbox out of your own pieces. It's something that must be experienced by all technic fans!
