K-POP INVADES TORONTO
On Friday March 20th, a crowd funded K-Pop concert was held at Massey Hall in Toronto, featuring some of the worlds biggest Korean Pop Stars.
The crowd funding campaign was a competition between major cities in North America to win the K-Pop concert for their hometown. Toronto saw 1,000 fans willing to spend up to $200 on tickets, compared to only 150 tickets sold in New York, and 470 in San Francisco.
The concert featured some of the largest K-Pop artists in the world at the moment. This included San E, Ailee and Jay Park!
Jay Park and Ugly Duck, who are big supporters of Community 54, passed by the shop prior to their performance. The whole crew had a chill vibe and a great sense of humor. We kicked it in the shop, shared some music and they even busted out some of their retro dance moves.
During the concert, Jay Park and the new home, Ugly Duck, were swagged out head-to-toe in Community 54. Out of nowhere they decided to pause the concert and show C54 some love! They gave us a massive shout out - much respect for that. The concert was crazy, to say the least. Jay Park danced, rapped, and kept the crowd moving the entire time.
Anyone with a taste for K-Pop would’ve appreciated this concert as much as we did.
Thank you from our Team at Community 54.
