George heads United Way Mumbai (UWM) – a nonprofit organization with a vast footprint in urban and rural communities across India. UWM follows the collective impact model and has extensive interventions in the areas of Education, Health, Income, Environment & Public Safety. George has 18 years of experience in the corporate and development sector and has previously worked in sales, marketing & international trading in India & Africa.
At UWM for the past ten years, he has been building & expanding the organization’s capacities across 300+ project interventions annually, working with a network of 500+ NGOs, through the support of 200+ companies and thousands of individuals.
George has a strong interest and inclination towards furthering philanthropy, sustainable community initiatives, building impactful solutions and organizational development. He is passionate about applying UWM’s expertise to help funders and partners achieve effective, efficient and intelligent social impact while maintaining the highest levels of integrity, empathy & social work ethics in service of our vulnerable communities.
