Easy starch solution meals for maximum weight loss is what I will be sharing with you today. This will be my 5th video showing you super easy whole food plant based no oil recipes for maximum weight loss. Recipes below:
RECIPE #1
SWEET POTATO WAFFLES
Ingredients:
3/4 cup gluten free oats
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 cup sweet potato puree
3/4 to 1 cup water
Instructions:
Put all the ingredients into a bullet or blender, blend till smooth and pour into a preheated waffle iron. Top with maple syrup and fruit
RECIPE #2
BURRITO BOWL
Ingredients:
cooked rice
greens of your choice, (I used spring mix and romaine)
chopped cucumber
chopped red onion
chopped red and green pepper
1/2 cup my plant based cheese
1/2 cup salsa
Instructions
add rice to the bowl and then all the veggies.
warm the plant based cheese slightly and add the salsa mix well and pour over greens. *recipes for cheese sauce and salsa below
RECIPE #3
RED LENTIL AND POTATO SOUP
Ingredients:
1 cup chopped onion
3/4 cup red lentils (use less if you want a thinner soup)
1 tsp minced garlic
2 carrots chopped
2 stalks celery chopped
3 cups chopped potatoes
1/2 tsp each salt, garlic powder, onion powder
1/8 tsp black pepper
1/8 tsp or less or red pepper flakes
1 cup finely chopped baby kale
3-4 cups veggie broth
Set Instant pot to saute mode and add onions and garlic and saute for a few minutes until onions start to get soft. Cancel saute mode. Next add the rest of the ingredients except kale and stir well. Make sure that everything is covered with liquid if not add a bit more water. Pressure cook on manual for 15 minutes, let the steam release naturally for 15 minutes and then quick release, add the kale, stir well and let sit for 5 minutes. Soup will thicken as it cools.

*Cheese sauce recipe:
3 cups Yukon gold potatoes cut into chunks
1/2 cup chopped carrots
1/2 onion cut into chunks
1/4 cup raw cashews
3 T nutritional yeast
1/2 to 1 tsp. smoked paprika (optional)
1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 to 2 tsp salt
juice of 1/2 lemon
1 to 2 cups cooking water depending how thick or thin you want sauce.
Instructions:
Add veggies to a pot filled with water and boil till fork tender. Then scoop out veggies into a blender reserving cooking water. Add the rest of the ingredients including cooking water and blend till smooth. Let cool and store in jars and it will last about a week in the fridge
