I'm Julie and we are a family of three. We live right on the coast here in the North East of England.

Join me in the kitchen today while I make my late mam's delicious pease pudding recipe.

Pease pudding is ubiquitous in North East England's sandwiches! Its earthy sweetness pairs beautifully with smoky, salty ham and it's essential for a proper North East 'dip' with stuffing, meat or saveloy and gravy.

My mam loved it spread thickly on hot buttered toast. I like mine with roast pork and stuffing crammed into buttered white stottie (flatbread).

Recipe can be easily halved :)
