Here's another of my favorite scenes from the Hope and Crosby 'road pictures', 'ROAD TO BALI (1952)
The boys were ahead of their time with breaking the fourth wall (talking to the audience) and referring to noises off camera, acknowledging they were acting in a film, as well as referencing real life actors and actresses with wisecracks, as seen here with their dig on well known Don Juan Errol Flynn.
