While travelling over the summer around Europe, I have decided to return to one of my favourite countries in Caucasus, to Georgia. Despite Georgia having a high number of cases at the time of my visit, I felt very safe as Georgia implemented a lot of safety measures to make things as safe as possible.
I decided to fly to Batumi, country's main sea resort, located less than 20 km from the Turkish border. Batumi has much more to offer than the sea. Since 2010, Batumi has been transformed by the construction of modern high-rise buildings (thus city is known as the Last Vegas of the Black Sea), as well as the restoration of classical 19th-century edifices lining its historic Old Town.
The city also offers a nice choice of restaurants and cafes - you'll find some good cuisines, like delicious khachapuri or khinkali almost everywhere!
