Delhi: Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal squashes request of Delhi Govt to have their own lawyers on the panel for interrogation as had been decided by the Cabinet earlier. Delhi L-G exercised special powers and passed the order.
Ayushmann says Delhi L-G overturns Cabinet decision. Delhi Govt's panel also included Tushar Sharma which was rejected by Cabinet but now approved by the Delhi L-G. This case is related to the appointment of lawyers in the Delhi riots case which took place in February earlier. Again, there is a clash seen between the Delhi Govt and Delhi L-G. Despite Cabinet order, Delhi L-G overturned the decision using the special powers granted to him.
