First of all, please join me in wishing the fabulous Jeremy Rusu a very happy birthday! Jeremy is the most talented person I know and it’s a pleasure to be his friend and share the stage with him.
Today’s tune is a Matilda Murdoch composition. We lost Matilda in February, just days after celebrating her 99th birthday. She was a feisty lady from Miramichi who always loved to play a tune with friends and I had a few chances over the years to do just that. Today I’m joined by many friends including Jocelyne Bourque, Kimberley Holmes, Susie Lemay, Annette Smith, Sylvia Campbell, Joanne Landry, and Evelyn Doiron, just to name a few! Thanks to Jocelyne for hosting a wonderful workshop yesterday and to all the students who came out and participated.
