This is a quick video outlining some obvious differences between these two BCGs. If you are familiar with NP3, you know it’s one of the best coatings for BCGs in terms of lubricity and wear resistance. This is the only coating you can actually run dry.
Now the reason for this is, when I was doing research between these two, there were many threads online where everyone was saying that they are both made by the same OEM. However, no one could provide any evidence for their statements other than they are two of only a few nickel Teflon coated BCGs on the market. They also couldn’t provide a side by side comparison because they didn’t have them in their possession. I’m not sure where they got their information from besides just looking at the pictures on their websites. It was said that the Sionics was not worth the extra money. I disagree, the quality appears to be superior all the way around.
*Now, I will say the MA looks identical to the Triarc np3 bcg (not in this video) with the exception of the nitride gas key, I believe they ARE manufactured by the same company, the MA is a fraction of the price.
