Dermal piercings can sometimes be rejected; this can happen due to several factors, such as snagging the jewelry or improper aftercare. If your piercing starts to reject, it may be best to have it removed. If you go to the doctor to have it removed, you may end up having more damage caused to your skin than is necessary, as they aren't familiar with the shape of the jewelry and how it sits inside of your skin. When in doubt, speak to your piercer!

If you aren't able to return to the person who pierced you, we highly recommend going to see another local piercer for assistance.
