Before the Telangana Legislative Assembly Polls, Rahul Gandhi, a Congress leader, made allegations during a public rally on October 19. He claimed that leaders from the Bharatiya Janata Party targeted him, contrasting it with their treatment of Chief Minister KCR. Rahul Gandhi questioned the lack of legal cases against KCR and suggested that the BJP's cordial relationship with KCR might be the reason. He emphasized, "No BJP leader dares to criticize KCR or his family, while they frequently attack me."
On October 9, the Election Commission of India released the election schedule for five states. Mizoram will hold elections on November 7, Chhattisgarh on November 7 and November 17, Madhya Pradesh on November 17, Rajasthan on November 23, and Telangana on November 30. Vote counting is slated for December 3 across all these states.
