Locals are putting on spectacular performances such as a traditional light show in Luoyang city, central China’s Henan Province, featuring a dragon dance while molten iron rains down on performers. The tradition dates back nearly a thousand years. In the province’s Xuchang city, about 30,000 lanterns brightened the streets, depicting China during the Three Kingdoms (220- 280 A.D.) period.
